Selected by international competition as design architects and principal consultants, Warren and Mahoney was commissioned to deliver this 82 unit condominium complex on Denarau Island, Fiji, for management by the Sheraton Hotel chain.
The complex comprises holiday villas and guest facilities dramatically arranged about a wet-edge swimming pool and purpose-formed lagoon on the island’s foreshore. All villas open to water, preserving privacy while retaining shared views and aspect.
The design language of the condominiums acknowledge existing buildings on adjoining sites while establishing a clear visual identity for the development. Traditional forms are executed in contemporary materials: solid timber, rope, plaster and cedar detailing, generating the sense of quality and understated luxury.
