The ground floor has been planned as an active communal area where visitors and staff mix freely together in a range of highly interactive spaces. At the centre of the ground floor is reception, located at he meeting point of two strong axial circulation paths, each defined by a double height volume.
A training and recruitment facility, client meeting rooms and open casual meeting and eating spaces provide staff with several areas in which to work and relax.
On upper levels, the same axial circulation paths lead staff through the large floor plates. It is along these paths that the highly interactive spaces are located. These range from ‘kitchen tables’, through meeting spaces with various levels of enclosure, to a long creative window seat in which staff can meet or work on their own in a variety of postures. The open work areas are arranged in team pods, divided by flexible storage spines. The staff in each team can rearrange their furniture to suit team dynamics, culture or work style and that cab adjust dividing elements to suit with a range of storage, screen and planter pods.
The new era heralds a complete business transformation which flows through every aspect of the way the building operates to the way in which work is done. New technologies facilitate mobility and communication.
