Rodney joined the Wellington office of Warren and Mahoney in 2005. He is a skilled architect and communicator who quickly demonstrated strong leadership skills within the practice, rising to take a Principal position with the firm in 2011.
Typical of his initiative and talent, Rodney’s career began with a small student initiated group named The Architects Collaborative in 1999. Rodney’s extensive New Zealand based experience lends him a firm grounding and belief in the country’s design culture with its international flavour, for which he possesses a keen interest, awareness and impressive competency.
He enjoys all phases of a project from its inception, client meetings to site observations crafting the building from sketch to built form. This is the making of architecture. He wants to see the building's ability to contribute to its environment for people and place. Every project is viewed with an open mind and, with his practical knowledge of building he can envisage how materials will work on site.
He appreciates the variety Warren and Mahoney offers, working with large teams of talented people from design architecture to administration. Each person is allowed to focus on their individual skills to deliver the best product available.
