Katherine spent the first three years of her architectural career with Warren and Mahoney before leaving to concentrate on developing her own Wellington-based practice. Katherine rejoined Warren and Mahoney as a Senior Architect in 2012, and was appointed Principal in 2015. She currently leads the Wellington Studio, and is a member of our Group Leadership Team.

Katherine was appointed Branch Chair for the New Zealand Institute of Architects (NZIA) Wellington branch from 2016 - 2019. In 2019, she was the recipient of the Property Council Wellington ‘Judges’ Choice’ Award. The jury praised Katherine for her strength and effective leadership, noting she is a driver for change in the Wellington property industry.

Katherine’s method and approach as an architect is consistent and thorough across her varied project types, resulting in positive outcomes for her clients. Her philosophy centres on creating built environments that are elegant and considered, while at the same time reflecting the client’s unique requirements.

Drawing on her 20+ years in the architectural industry, Katherine prides herself on her ability to achieve design solutions in a collaborative and engaging way. This is coupled with her desire to constantly innovate and learn through challenge and open dialogue with her clients and consultant teams.
