Barrington Gohns
Head of Design Principal SydneyBarrington joined Warren and Mahoney in 2009 whilst completing his studies at the University of Auckland Architecture school. While finishing his final year, he began to assemble a team of specialist graduates that would begin to infuse their skills within Warren and Mahoney. Following graduation, where he recieved first class honours and secured a finalist position in the top Graduate Architect prize in New Zealand, he begun to build a new team which explores the use of technology infused with architecture. This team is developing a new skillset within the office, which looks to explore and test new specialist environments within private and public-use spaces.
Barrington brings a strong understanding of the design and delivery of projects. Since joining Warren and Mahoney, Barrington has become a key member of the design team, and has been involved in a wide range of architectural and interior projects of varying scales across New Zealand. He was appointed Associate in 2012 before being appointed Principal in 2017.
