Barrington joined Warren and Mahoney in 2009 whilst completing his studies at the University of Auckland Architecture school. While finishing his final year, he began to assemble a team of specialist graduates that would begin to infuse their skills within Warren and Mahoney. Following graduation, where he recieved first class honours and secured a finalist position in the top Graduate Architect prize in New Zealand, he begun to build a new team which explores the use of technology infused with architecture. This team is developing a new skillset within the office, which looks to explore and test new specialist environments within private and public-use spaces.
Barrington brings a strong understanding of the design and delivery of projects. Since joining Warren and Mahoney, Barrington has become a key member of the design team, and has been involved in a wide range of architectural and interior projects of varying scales across New Zealand. He was appointed Associate in 2012 before being appointed Principal in 2017.
